I Pledge Allegiance
Our 4th of July Celebration was relatively low-key this year. We spent the day out at the ranch and after dinner, we decided it was time for a little celebrating. So, we made up a 4th of July parade. We handed out flags to all of the kids, cut up paper to make confetti, tied a bow around the dog, opened up the door to the Yukon and turned up the radio, said the pledge of allegiance and had ourselves a nice little parade down the driveway. The whole thing was utterly ridiculous and yet I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! The kids of course, knew no better and absolutely ate it up. Looks like we might have just made a new tradition.
